Open Answers has been providing education and training services as a core part of the portfolio for over a decade. All our instructors have gained wide experience working for both our Unix vendor and corporate customers in the development and administration of systems and delivery of support.
This breadth of experience has proved invaluable in a teaching environment, both in the development of material and the delivery of training courses that reflect the problems and challenges students will encounter.
Over the years, Open Answers has developed and delivered courses for a wide spectrum of students, ranging from first time Unix users, to kernel engineers. Indeed, the company has also trained several hundred Sun Microsystems engineers across the world in Sun Solaris internals, kernel analysis and implementing device drivers.
This is a clear demonstration of the esteem in which Open Answers personnel are held throughout the Unix community – both for their in depth Unix knowledge and ability to communicate with individuals irrespective of technical expertise or experience.
For those organisations that have embraced new technologies including open source and free software, courses can be tailored to encompass specific needs if a standard class does not fit the bill. In addition, skills transfer can form a core component of consultancy activities. Recently, Open Answers has undertaken the mentoring role for WebLogic skills transfer within one blue chip company.
